The 17-year-old was part of the five changes that Malky Thomson made to his team in midweek, getting on the scoresheet in a convincing 4-1 victory over Aberdeen.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the side’s next SWPL match away to Dundee United this weekend, the attacker says she is constantly taking more information on board and hopes that will continue her progression this season: “It is good playing alongside the more experienced players, they help every single day in training and when we come to play games.
“It has been very good learning off them and hopefully I can continue to learn this season and hopefully it will benefit me in the long run.”
McLeary knows the competition for places in the starting lineup is high, but she believes it drives the standards in both training and matches.
She continued: “The competition is very high, everyone obviously wants to start week in, week out, you can see the competitive environment in training as well.
“It only creates a stronger team and you can see that when we play, it is very competitive and everyone wants to do well for each other. We will look to continue what we have done so far this season and continue playing the way we have been.”
The teenager is looking ahead to the next league clash after getting on the scoresheet in the midweek victory and is expecting another tough game as the Gers head to Gussie Park on Sunday afternoon.
She said: “We are really all looking forward to it, it will be another tough game, no game we play is easy so it I think it is only as easy as we make it.
"We are hoping to get another win and three points is the most important thing. It is always good to score and contribute, but everyone did well, especially Megan [Bell] coming back from injury and her first 90 minutes. It was obviously very good to score but everyone played their part.”
