GOALKEEPER Megan Cunningham is expecting a tough test this weekend as Rangers head to Ainslie Park to face Hibs on Sunday.
It will be the first time the new-look Gers squad has come up against one of last season’s top three in a competitive fixture, and Megan believes it’s time for the squad to show what they have learned over the past nine months.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the game, she said: “It is going to be a tough game, Hibs have always been a difficult team to play against.
“They have some good young players as well as a lot of experience in their squad. They have had some players who have left this year as well but I think the experience they have is that they know how to handle games.
“For us it is about going out there and trying to showcase what we have picked up over the last eight or nine months. It is about trying to maximise our strengths and minimise the opportunities that Hibs have.
“It is still really early in the season but it is a really good indication for us to see where we are at and compare against the top three because at the end of the day we want to be competing for this league this year.
“The likes of Hibs, City and Celtic - not that I am writing off any other team - but these are the teams that are also up there and looking to compete so how we play against them and our performances will determine how we feel about going into the rest of the season so it is important.”

Jenna Fife has started the opening two league games for Rangers, but Megan is enjoying the competitive environment at training.
She continued: “It is really good, I think we push each other. Training alongside someone who is of that quality is always going to raise your standards and it is great to have someone that is really pushing me.
“We are all working together to try and ultimately help the team out as best as we can.
“Things are so unpredictable in football with injury, illnesses, we've now laws in place with self-isolation so you don't know what's coming and I need to be ready.
“It is really important that you are always on it mentally, physically and tactically you are aware of what is going on. It's about knowing every single player and how you can help them in the game.”
