RANGERS had 14 players representing their countries on international duty over the last week.
With World Cup qualifiers and friendly matches in the schedule, here’s a look at how our players fared:
John Souttar, Liam Kelly and Findlay Curtis – Scotland

Three Rangers players were present in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad as preparations for this summer’s World Cup continued with two friendly matches over the break.
There was a special moment for youngster Findlay Curtis at Barclays Hampden on Saturday evening, as he was handed his international debut off the bench in the slender defeat to Japan at the National Stadium.
Starts for Gers duo Liam Kelly and John Souttar followed at the Hill Dickinson Stadium of Everton on Tuesday night, with the Scots falling to another 1-0 loss to the African nation in Liverpool.
Nico Raskin – Belgium
USA 2-5 Belgium – International Friendly
Mexico 1-1 Belgium – International Friendly
Nico and Belgium were across the other side of the Atlantic over the past week as they also continued their preparations for the finals with matches in one of the host nations.
The midfielder started in a convincing win over Mauricio Pochettino’s US side in Atlanta, before a sub appearance followed in a score draw with Mexico at Soldier Field.
Raskin has become a regular in the Belgian midfield over the past few international windows and will look for a strong end to the season at club level to secure his seat on the plane for his first major tournament.
Emmanuel Fernandez – Nigeria
Iran 1-2 Nigeria – International Friendly
Jordan 2-2 Nigeria – International Friendly
The central defender was on international duty for the first time in his career as he represented Nigeria.
He made an appearance from the bench in a 2-1 win over Iran in the first of two friendly outings over the break.
A special personal moment for Emmanuel arrived in their second outing, making his first international start and marking it with a goal in a 2-2 draw with Jordan.
Nasser Djiga – Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso 5-0 Guinea-Bissau – International Friendly
Burkina Faso 1-1 Guinea-Bissau – International Friendly
Nasser was back over in his home continent over the break as his nation played out a pair of friendly matches facing off against Guinea-Bissau on two occasions.
It was further valuable gametime for the defender having been part of their African Cup of Nations squad earlier this year, and he will look to continue his run in the Rangers side having started the last three matches at club level before jetting off.
Oliver Antman – Finland
New Zealand 0-2 Finland – International Friendly
Finland 1-1 Cape Verde – International Friendly
Oliver and Finland made the long trip across the globe for a pair of friendly outings played in New Zealand to compete in the FIFA Series 2026.
Playing in Auckland, he was in the lineup in a 2-0 win over the hosts, before he was again in the side in a score draw with Cape Verde before losing out 4-2 on penalties.
Bojan Miovski – North Macedonia
Denmark 4-0 North Macedonia – World Cup Play-Off Semi-Final
It was a disappointing evening for Bojan and North Macedonia as their bid to qualify for this summer’s World Cup ended at the hands of Denmark.
The forward was a second half substitute for his side in Copenhagen as three goals inside ten second-half minutes took the game away from North Macedonia.
Nedim Bajrami – Albania
Poland 2-1 Albania – World Cup Play-Off Semi-Final
Ukraine 1-0 Albania – International Friendly
Nedim, meanwhile, suffered frustration for Albania as they were edged out by Poland in their quest for World Cup qualification.
The 27-year-old started for his country in the crucial clash as an inspired second half showing from Poland overturned Albania’s advantage.
He then came off the bench in the second half in a friendly clash against Ukraine in Valencia on Tuesday evening ahead of his return to club action this weekend.
Djeidi Gassama – Mauritania
Argentina 2-1 Mauritania – International Friendly
Djeidi earned his first start for Mauritania as they made a close contest of their clash against Argentina.
The winger played 64 minutes for the side as goals from Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez and Como midfielder Nico Paz secured the win for Lionel Scaloni’s charges.
Youssef Chermiti – Portugal Under-21s
Azerbaijan Under-21s 0-4 Portugal Under-21s – European Championships Qualifiers
Portugal Under-21s 3-0 Scotland Under-21s – European Championships Qualifiers
Youssef enjoyed a productive set of international fixtures as Portugal Under-21s netted seven times across two games in their European Championship qualifiers.
The forward started both games for his country and added the third of the match in a 4-0 triumph over Azerbaijan.
Jayden Meghoma – England Under-20s
Italy Under-20s 3-3 England Under-20s – International Friendly
In a six-goal thriller for England Under-20s, Jayden was given the nod from the off.
The match was played in the Italian capital as England looked in a commanding position at the interval before the hosts staged a second half fightback.
Derek Cornelius – Canada
Canada 2-2 Iceland – International Friendly
Canada 0-0 Tunisia – International Friendly
Derek featured twice for Canada as they ramped up their preparations for this summer’s World Cup on home soil.
The defender was a second half substitute in both contests for his side, playing the final quarter of an hour against Iceland before featuring for the remaining 33 minutes in the team’s stalemate with Tunisia.
