The Light Blues overcame Partick Thistle 6-0 at Petershill Park this afternoon with the result putting the Gers on top of the table after 21 matches played.
Speaking to RangersTV after opening the scoring to set the team on their way to victory, she commented: “Throughout the week we knew that it was going to be a tough game today.
“Partick Thistle are challenging for top-six so we knew they were going to come out fighting but I think as a team we just stuck together and we got through the game and I think it was an excellent performance.
“I think we started a bit slow but once we got the first goal that was us going.
“We didn't stop and from the first 10 minutes on we played really well.
“We went into half time with a good lead and that just set us up for the second half.
“We know how important the clean sheets are.
“The goal difference it can be massive for the league title so we need to keep going with these clean sheets.”
The youngster spoke of her opener on the day as she broke the deadlock just shy of the half-hour mark, whilst crediting teammate Kirsty Maclean’s part in the goal and impact on the side on her first start of the year.
She continued: “It is a really good team goal; we always talk about the extra pass and I think we have done that great in the first goal.
“To score again it is great but it was a team goal overall.
“We know what impact Ini has on the team.
“She is amazing and to play alongside her I think we both know each other’s games and we link up really well so I am really happy she is back in the team.”
The 18-year-old will now join up with the Scotland national squad ahead of their Nations League campaign getting underway next week as she shared her excitement of being part of the group.
She added: “I am buzzing, I know it is going to be another challenge for me going away with the A squad.
“It is a different type of environment that I see here and at Under-19's so I am buzzing for it but I am sure I will enjoy it.”
