The Gers make the short trip to Petershill tomorrow afternoon to take on Glasgow City as they continue in their pursuit of the SWPL title.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the clash in Glasgow, the youngster hopes the team can push until the end as they head into the last four matches of their season.
She said: “We know how big the games are. I think we just need to do everything we can to secure the three points and try close the goal difference.
“We just focus on the task at hand. Whatever game is coming up we just focus on that, then once we have got the three points focus on the next.
“We have shown recently in games that we can beat Glasgow City. I think we just need to do the same again on Sunday.
“We have obviously worked really hard over the season; I think we have showed that by winning the Sky Sports Cup.
“I know we have got it in us to do what we can to try and get the league and then win the Scottish Cup.”
The 17-year-old has paid credit to her teammates and coaching staff this season, with the winger enjoying a rapid rise and impressive first full campaign in professional football.
She continued: “If you look at me now and then back then, I think I have improved a lot.
“I have got more confidence but that does come down again to my teammates and the coaching staff for putting their trust in me.
“If your teammates have trust in you it just brings out your confidence.
“They have been a really big help, coming in through the academy it isn't easy. My teammates have played a really big part of me and why have I done so well, then obviously the coaching staff have really given me the chance that I think I needed.”
McAulay was named the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year earlier this week and she spoke of her delighted at being voted by her fellow professionals.
She added: “I am really proud, to receive the recognition from people you are playing against in the league I think it is massive. It is a really big honour for me.
“You are not just getting encouragement off your own teammates but you are getting it off your opponents.”
