MINSU KIM says that he is “so happy” to have joined Rangers after his transfer from Girona was officially confirmed today.
The highly-rated winger becomes the club’s 12th signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrival of right-back Kosta Nedeljković last week.
20-year-old Minsu, who has signed a four-year contract with an option for a further year, has been handed the number ten jersey and he is immensely proud to be the first South Korean to play for the Rangers men’s first team.
He said: “I'm so happy to sign for Rangers. I know it's a big club with great, great fans.
“To be honest, it was a surprise [when Rangers wanted to sign me] but I have a lot of confidence in myself to come here.
“I am an attacking player and I make many chances. I am direct and score goals – this is the most important thing.
“I’m here to win titles and to become a winner with Rangers.”
Minsu is clearly impressed with the facilities at the club’s Auchenhowie training base. Speaking exclusively to RangersTV, he added: “The training centre is really big with a lot of pitches and very good grass.
“I can see myself training well here. The academy is very close to the first team so I want to set a good example.
“I also can’t wait to go to Ibrox and play there. I can’t wait to show my talent and meet the fans.
“I want to help the team to be better every day, to be a good person, and to do everything I can to help the team win everything that comes our way.
“I have a lot of excitement and I believe I have the mentality of a winner. I want to face whatever comes next head-on and I’m going to give the club what it deserves.”
