MINSU KIM believes he will adapt quickly to life at Rangers and admits he is excited by the prospect of living in Glasgow, a city famous for its passion for football.
The 20-year-old is no stranger to moving to a new country and culture, having been born in South Korea but living in Spain from the age of ten.
After a spell with Barcelona-based CF Damm, a club renowned for developing young players and preparing them for senior football, Minsu joined Girona in 2022.
He made his senior debut for the Catalan club at the age of 18, coming off the bench in a La Liga fixture at home to Real Sociedad on 19 October 2024.
Minsu spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan with Spanish second-tier side Andorra where he gained valuable first-team experience, making 40 appearances and scoring six goals.
He returned to his parent club this summer and featured in two second-tier league matches, against Leganes and Cordoba on August 16 and 21 respectively.
Now, having completed his move to Rangers, the highly-rated winger – who will wear the number 10 jersey – is determined to continue his development and take his game to the next level.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “The style in Spain is very different from Scotland. I know the leagues are physical and intense but I think I’m prepared to compete.
“Making your debut at 18 is difficult, especially as a professional footballer. I worked very hard for it because I have a long road ahead of me.
“I came to Spain when I was ten years old. It’s like my second country and I have a lot of love for the country.
“Coming to Scotland, I need to adapt as quickly as possible but I think that I can manage that easily.
“I’ve noticed that people here really love football. Like everyone else, they think football is the best sport.
“I’m just really excited to show the Rangers fans what I can do and I have to prepare well to face the upcoming matches.
“I want to get to know my teammates quickly and be a good person to them. I want to work hard to help the team.”
