The Gers coach admitted they got frustrated at times, but paid credit to the hosts for making it difficult at New Douglas Park.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, he said: “At this stage of the season it is about results and making sure we win games. It probably wasn't our prettiest performance today, I think you have got to give credit to Hamilton as I thought they defended really well.
“We probably got a bit frustrated at times but having said that to come away with a 4-0 win at this stage of the season is all that matters.
“We know that teams will try to frustrate us and try to hit us on the counter-attack and Hamilton did that. The players were a bit careless in the final third at times but we have to be patient. To come away scoring four goals but not being overly pleased probably shows the standards we expect of the players and that the players put on themselves.”
Murphy was delighted for defender Janni Arnth who got her first goal for the club, and said the squad have been working hard on taking advantage of set-piece situations.
He continued: “Janni is absolutely buzzing that she got her goal, it was a fantastic header
“Nic Hardie puts a lot of work into the set-plays and we do put a lot of work in in training so it is pleasing to score from a set-play and for Janni to get off the mark is fantastic for her as well.”
Looking ahead to next weekend’s home fixture against Spartans, Murphy continued: “We know that Spartans had a good result against Hearts today so we will make sure that we watch that footage and prepare like we always do. We expect a really hard game but we just have to make sure we prepare as much as we can and hopefully we can come away with another three points."
