The Young Ger believes that this season’s participation in the Lowland League and specifically the travelling to away grounds, brings opportunities for the team to learn and develop.
Miller sat down exclusively with RangersTV before their upcoming home fixture against Broomhill on Saturday. He reflected on last weekend’s disappointing result when the team travelled to Dumfries and Galloway to face Dalbeattie Star but outlined how they will learn from that defeat.
He said: “It was obviously a disappointing result at the weekend, we’ll take the positives and negatives from the match to work on during the week to try and implement that into our game coming up at the weekend.
“We’re just trying to improve every single week. Sometimes the results don’t always reflect that, but we know ourselves we’re trying to improve.”
The Light Blue emphasised the challenging aspect to away games but outlined the important learning opportunities that those games can bring.
He added: “The away ground has been one of them, you have to try and fight to win because you can’t play nice football all the time, sometimes you just have to fight to try and get those three points at the weekend.
“It’s really good to go away to another team’s pitch with all their fans, who don’t want you to win. You need to try and overcome that and it’s not your usual surroundings, so it is a good challenge for all the boys.”
The B team will welcome Broomhill to Dumbarton Stadium on Saturday for their next Lowland League match and the youngster highlighted his excitement to be playing in front of the home fans once again.
He continued: “It’s so good to be in front of the fans, when you look over and see them all go crazy it just gives you an adrenaline rush – it’s amazing.”
