New Edmiston House Update With General Manager Dave Pyatt

WITH work well underway on New Edmiston House, newly-appointed general manager Dave Pyatt has sat down with RangersTV this week to discuss his role and what supporters can expect from the incredible facility.

The exciting project will see a club museum, a brand new two-storey Rangers Store as well as an events space all under one roof.

Overseeing the current work, Dave gave an insight into what his job involves as building work continues.

Speaking to RangersTV he said: “It is going to be my job to make sure that all the different aspects of it, the new store, the museum and the events space all work together to make Ibrox a more fun place to be for fans and anybody choosing to visit us.

“It is really fitting that we have got the museum which is going to be an anchor for the last 150 years and really celebrate our history while the club is also investing in the next 150 years in things like the music venue.

“There are a lot of professional and hugely enthusiastic people working behind the scenes to make it all happen so it is coming along and once the project is built then it is about getting the new store and museum in there and developing the live entertainment space.”

With 20 years of experience in the music industry, Dave is looking forward to further building the club’s relationship with that industry, while improving the matchday experience for supporters.

He continued: “I am really proud that Rangers are looking to develop that side of the business too, especially coming out of the last 18 months.

“There are a lot of bands and artists who are chomping at the bit to get out and play in front of a crowd and Glasgow has some of the best crowds in the world so we are looking to develop a venue that is really going to celebrate both of those things.

“There's already an existing relationship there, although it has not been around for a while but Rangers have had Bon Jovi play here before as well as Bryan Adams and Elton John.

“We are going to offer more on matchdays, just a little bit extra to make the day more exciting.

“We hope to make it more fun for families, there will be a bigger and brighter store and the museum looks to be incredible and will really celebrate the club's rich history."
