Rangers will head to the national stadium to take on their Old Firm rivals as they look to make the step towards further silverware by booking a place in next month’s final.
Speaking to RangersTV at Hampden ahead of the derby on Saturday, the captain is excited at the prospect of the leading the team out on another big occasion as the Gers look to overcome their opponents in a last four clash this season for the second time.
She commented: “We are obviously really looking forward to it.
“It’s a great venue that we are playing at, so we are treating it like a game like any other.
“We want to make it to a final and that is the end goal, so hopefully we can turn up on Saturday and make sure we show a good account of ourselves.
“You will get the chance to lead the team out as captain, how special a moment will that be for you? It will be special.
“It is obviously a huge honour to represent a club like Rangers and the captains that have been here previously are massive for the club.
“To do it at Hampden Park in a semi-final against your rivals it is no better way to do it so I am really excited and we are really raring to get going.
The skipper has highlighted what she believes these games can come down too and wants the team to take the next step forward to securing further trophies this season.
She continued: “There is obviously that little bit of pressure when you represent a club like Rangers.
“It is obviously built on history of winning trophies.
“We want to do that with the women's team as well, but in these games I think it really comes down to the small details.
“You can do all the tactics in the world and hopefully that can help us on Saturday but it really does come down to the mentality side of things.
“I have played in so many of these fixtures now for many years.
“It really does come down to the mental aspect of things and hopefully everyone is up for it as much as I am.
"I keep reiterating that when you represent Rangers Football Club it is built on history of winning trophies so for us to do that as a women's team we want to do that even more.
“It is another chance to make it to a final so hopefully we can go and do that.”
The defender feels the team can use the experience of their Sky Sports Cup winning run which included a win over their rivals as they look to book their place in a second final of the campaign.
She added: “We can obviously look back on that and see what we did well. I think even now the squad has grown even more since that game.
“Hopefully we can bring that on Saturday because that was a great game last time and to go and then win the Sky Sports Cup so hopefully we can do that again.”
