The Light Blues are looking to complete the collection of domestic honours at the national stadium having lifted the League Cup on two separate occasions and the league title in 2021/22.
Hearts stand in the way of Jo Potter’s side and a maiden Scottish Cup success, but Docherty insists the side will be raring to go come kick-off.
Speaking to RangersTV, the Gers captain said: “We’re very excited as a group of players.
“It’s a very prestigious trophy and one that we’ve never won before, so we want to create more history with the women’s team and hopefully win more silverware.
“We’re going to treat it like no other. We know it will be a difficult game against Hearts, but we’ll be fully prepared and hopefully we can put on a good performance.
“I think it’s all about mentality. Jo has tried to instil that all season and just finding a way to win.
“But not only that, we want to put on a good performance because we want to bounce back. When we play nice football, that’s when we’re successful.”
Having represented Scotland extensively, Docherty is familiar with the dynamics of the vast Hampden Park surroundings.
It is experience that the 31-year-old hopes to use to her advantage and pass on to the younger members of the Gers squad, many of whom have enjoyed standout campaigns for the Light Blues this season.
She added: “There’s obviously a big group of girls who have had the pleasure of playing at Hampden before, whether with club or country.
“It really helps coming into these games because you know the dimensions of the pitch, the dressing room, and you’re comfortable with the surroundings.
“We’ve been playing well as a group of players and the game against Partick Thistle [last weekend] was one of the best performances that we’ve had in a long time.
“We’ve been in control of games and we need to utilise the big pitch; it suits how we want to play the game.
“It’s something we’ll try to use as it’s where we tend to play our best football.”
