The stalemate leaves Jo Potter’s side level on points with Celtic heading into the concluding three fixtures of the league campaign.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, the captain said: “I thought we were excellent in the first half; we were first and second to every ball, aggressive, and winning our duels.
“I genuinely thought we were brilliant in the first half but we just couldn’t find the net. We hit the crossbar on two occasions and had chances to go and win the game.
“But I feel we lost that little bit of momentum in the second half, which is the disappointing part. Look, we’ll kick on, focus on ourselves, and go right to the end.
“The message at half-time was that we very much felt comfortable. I thought they didn’t cause us too many problems and we were on the front foot, so from that side we’re a bit gutted that we couldn’t find a way to win the game.
It was a day where Rangers were left bemoaning the fine margins as both Eilidh Austin and Mia McAulay had efforts which rattled crossbar, while Kathy Hill was inches away from fashioning an effort from close-range in stoppage time.
However, Docherty says her side will quickly dust themselves off in preparation for another huge game in six days’ time when they make the trip to face defending champions Glasgow City.
She added: “You look at Eilidh Austin stepping in and I thought she was brilliant, especially in the first half.
“She’s a young kid coming in and gone on to hit the crossbar. Credit to the girls as I thought everyone dug in and gave 100 per cent, and we always will, but we couldn’t quite find that quality.
“That’s one that we want to get maximum points from and kick on for the remainder of the season.”
