Both vastly experienced in the SWPL, Jenna Fife and Megan Cunningham bring a high intensity to training each day. Hardie feels this can only benefit the players and the squad going forward this season.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV, she said: “I think it is quite unique how similar in ability they are. They really do push each other, it is an environment that they want to push each other.
“They give each other feedback daily, they are very supportive if one starts and one is not, they are there for each other and it's really good support.

“It can only lead to them getting better that they are constantly looking for that jersey.
“They have both got a really good understanding of a lot of players in the league. I think that has given them the experience they need to be good organisers and really communicate and take a leadership role within the team.”

Nicola has been at Rangers for around three years now, firstly on a part-time basis, but after recent investment in the women’s and girls’ programme is now in a full-time coaching role.
She believes working alongside Malky Thomson, Kevin Murphy and the wider backroom team at the training centre is allowing them to create the best environment they can for the players.
“Being full-time is great, it really gives you the time, I think that is the luxury,” she continued.

“You have got the time to plan properly, you have got great facilities at hand and great staff around you so it is a really good environment for me to progress and it also gives goalkeepers the best environment for them to progress as players and as people.
“Every day is different. We bounce off each other really well and it has been great working as a full staff team.

“It is something I have never had before as a full-time thing so it is really good because I get challenged daily.
“We are always trying to challenge each other's thinking and come up with the best training sessions and make the best environment on and off the pitch and it is something that I think we are doing quite well at the moment.”
“I think it is good as well that we are fully engaged with the wider Academy so I have also got Smiddy [Graeme Smith] that I can go and bounce ideas off of, there's other coaches within the academy and technical staff that will help you and I think it is good that you are always reviewing each other’s work to create the best environment for the girls.”
