The Light Blues preserved their unbeaten start to the league campaign at Petershill Park, with Tessel Middag on the scoresheet from the penalty spot as Malky Thomson’s side came from behind to earn a richly merited point.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game, the American says there was plenty for the side to be encouraged about given their attacking display throughout: “I’m disappointed because the group wanted to win.
“We have high standards, but I think we did a lot well. We dominated the play – that doesn’t always matter because we have to get the win. We can walk away knowing we accomplished a lot of things and have a few things to think about and go off of going into Celtic next week.
“We have a great and really deep team. It doesn’t matter who’s on the pitch, everyone knows how we play. It makes for a very fluid group. I thought we created a lot of chances, if we get a goal early then the game changes. There is a lot to walk away with.”
Nolf was restored to the starting lineup for the short trip across Glasgow, producing an impressive performance in defence as she hailed the character of the side after falling early in the second period.
She continued: “The group is mentally very tough and full of winners. There wasn’t any question and we kept doing what we were doing, to get two goals and push for the win. It’s important to show our character in games like this.
“I want our team to win. I’m grateful to play football every day, it’s fun every time that I get to play but I really want to win. I’m disappointed right now but even training is fun so every day is a good day.”
