The winger made his first start since November 30 following injury, providing two assists in the team’s 8-0 Scottish cup win over Queen’s Park at Ibrox.
Speaking to RangersTV looking back on the game and his comeback, he said: “How am I feeling? Yes great, the last couple of months I have been injured so this was the first time I started a game.
“The last game I did well with the goal and assist so it was a great to build from that, it is a good feeling.
“I am not 100 per cent where I want to be and I can improve but it is going in the right direction, I am really happy at the moment.
“We are very pleased, the plan was to win the game and go through and we did that. We did that with a good performance and a lot of goals so we are really happy.
“Early goal setting the team up? Absolutely, these games can always be difficult. Scoring a couple of goals at the start of the game really helps.
“From the first whistle we put a lot of pressure on, we gave it our all and we kept going until the end and that was the result.”
The Finland international feels the squad are in a good place following a positive January window in a game he operated in various roles. As he looked ahead to a big week of Scottish Premiership clashes for the squad.
He added: “The players we have got in during this window they are quality players. I think they add a lot in this team and hopefully that will end up with trophies.
“Right-back? I have played quite all over the pitch in my career so it is fine, I will play wherever I am put.
“This was a good performance today but we have to look ahead and the most important game is the next one. We will recover and focus on that.”
