The midfielder, more known for her defensive qualities in the middle of the pitch, has found the back of the net on four occasions in five outings at the start of 2025.
Speaking to RangersTV to look ahead to the side’s next clash against Partick Thistle before the first international break of the year kicks in, she commented: “We have spoken a lot more about our midfielders being more attacking and getting numbers in the box.
“I think we are really trying to prove that.
“It is something that I have been working on, I pride myself more on my defensive qualities but it is definitely something I am trying to add to my game.
“About heading into this break on a high? Yes definitely I think that is the aim, every time we play a game we just want to put a good account of ourselves out and we really did that at the weekend.
“Knowing that they [Thistle] do want to finish in the top-six that is going to be a big game for them at the weekend.
“They are obviously really hard to play against normally so I think it will be a good battle but if we can get the win and the three points and go into the international break on a high that is the perfect situation.”
The youngster has spoken of the competition for places amongst the Rangers ranks with the likes of Kirsty Maclean returning from injury recently as well as Jodi McLeary performing well in midfield in the last two matches.
She continued: “Keeping standards high? That is what we always want but I think the squad is so important at the moment and even more important in the split.
“The games come quick and fast and we have proven that even when we change the team everyone performs and everyone is doing so well, the squad is such a big part of it.
“Which is probably why the standards are so high in training.
“It is nice to have Kirsty back obviously and Jodi she brings something fresh into the midfield so it is really good that we have the players to be able to mix it up and bring different things.”
Following the conclusion of tomorrow’s league fixture the 20-year-old will join up with England Under-23’s once again for a pair of friendly matches, with McLoughlin looking forward to the challenge of testing herself against two top sides.
She added: “It will be very hard, the type of opposition that we are playing Germany and France it will be tough but that is what everyone wants and hopefully I can put a good display on.
“The players that do go away they go and get the experience but staying here as well the training week is really hard.
“It is tough but it is nice to also have a bit of time to reflect and take a bit of downtime during the international break.”
