The Gers are aiming to defend the trophy that they lifted for the first ever time last season as Partick Thistle stand between Jo Potter and her first piece of silverware as Light Blues head coach.
Speaking to RangersTV to look ahead to Sunday’s final at Tynecastle, the 19-year-old midfielder said: “I can’t wait. It’s another thing to tick off which is really exciting, and hopefully we can get the result that we want.
“Playing in these types of matches is massive, and to gain the experience in your career is really good. So, yeah, it was a massive factor when I was looking to come up here.
“Obviously after the game on Sunday, we tried to take what we can from that and now everyone is really excited.”
McLoughlin made the loan switch to Rangers from Aston Villa in January and she has wasted precious little time in making an impact in the side.
She netted her first Gers strike in the 9-0 triumph over Dundee United last month, going from strength to strength in midfield in the absence of Kirsty Maclean through injury.
The teenager says she’s looking forward to the experience of playing at Tynecastle in front of what she expects will be a vocal Rangers support.
She added: “I’ve settled in really well [at Rangers]. I’m loving it, the girls are lovely, and the environment is really good.
“It’s massive. It’s a different environment, playing at a bigger stadium means we get a lot more fans coming which is really nice.
“It’s a really good game for us to bounce back in after the weekend and to put the negative things right.
“We’re really looking forward to it and, if we’re able to get our hands on silverware, hopefully we can take the momentum into the end of the season.”
