The young Gers remain the only B Team still standing in the competition heading into the last 16 as goals from Ross McCausland, 16-year-old Findlay Curtis, James Graham and Arron Lyall propelled the side past a strong League One outfit.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match, the 17-year-old midfielder commented: “It was very good to win against Alloa and go through to the next round with a 4-1 win.
“We started off well in the match, but the last five minutes of the first half was a bit wayward. We brought the game back under control in the second half and managed to close it out.
“It was very good right throughout the team. Our pressing was relentless, we continued to push and, as soon as we got the second goal, we managed to score twice more and win the game.
“Alloa had the physical presence upfront and he was a challenge, but we managed to deal with it successfully.”
October promises to be an exciting month for David McCallum’s side, with Scottish Championship side Airdrieonians set to provide a stern test in the last 16 of the competition.
The Light Blues will also welcome AS Monaco B to Ibrox next Saturday afternoon as they pit their wits against an esteemed footballing academy.
Nsio continued: “It’s a good experience for the players to have these challenges. We’ll play Monaco, a top team in France who are coming over, so we’re all excited for that and hopefully we do well.
“It gives us a lot of confidence to go and win more ahead of the Airdrieonians match and we’ll look to advance into the next round.”
