Paul Nsio Recognised With Four Awards At Raith Rovers

PAUL Nsio was recently recognised for an impressive individual campaign at Raith Rovers by scooping four prizes at the club’s end-of-season awards ceremony.

The 20-year-old midfielder spent the campaign on loan at the Stark’s Park outfit and helped the club lift the KDM Evolution Trophy last month.

Although the side missed out on a play-off spot, Nsio established himself as one of the outstanding midfielders in the division in the second half of the campaign.

In doing so, he was voted Young Player of the Year and Supporters' Bus Player of the Year, while his display against Airdrieonians in a 3-1 win in March earned him the Best Individual Performance award.

He also received the Malcolm Szpera Award as recognition of his growth both on and off the pitch since joining the club on a season-long loan.

Speaking recently about his development in the Scottish Championship as part of RangersTV’s Loan Rangers series, Nsio said: “Physically, I feel better, and technically I understand what first-team football is about. Hopefully, it will all help me in my development as a player.

“Making my [Rangers] debut when I was younger, it actually made me want to come out on loan and play men’s football because I just want to develop as a player both on and off the pitch.

“I’ve really enjoyed it, and I’ve learned a lot. I’m hoping that I can take it back to Rangers and develop myself even more.”
