The goalkeeper denied Celtic twice in the shootout after being equal to Saoirse Noonan’s spot-kick in extra time to keep the scoreline level.
It was a thrilling encounter and fantastic advert for the game as the Gers will now compete for a fourth successive triumph in the competition against Glasgow City in March.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game, a delighted Fife beamed: “It was a mental game. It’s hard to put into words at the moment as we’re just off the pitch.
“We’re delighted to be in the final. That was the objective today and we’ve achieved it.
“It’s amazing. Penalty shootouts are a bit of a luck of the draw sometimes, but I’m delighted to save two and the girls put their penalties away phenomenally.
“Credit to everyone in the penalty shootout. That’s why we came out on top.
“You do a bit of prep during the week. There were a few videos that I watched of the penalty takers.
“I have a water bottle as all goalkeepers usually do. At the end of the day you need to judge it in the moment, but thankfully I done my homework and a lot of them went the same way as I thought they would.”
Rangers found themselves 3-1 behind in the contest, but struck through Laura Berry before half-time to reduce the arrears.
They showed character in abundance to find the leveller with virtually the last kick of normal time as Berry netted once again.
On her side’s resilience and their excitement for the final, Fife added: “It was a proper derby. We went 3-1 down and it becomes hard, but to come back, make it 3-2, then equalise in the very last minute of the game.
“The game had it all – three penalties, extra time, late goals, penalties. I’ve never played in a game quite like it, but we came out on top and we progress to the final.
“The character was brilliant today. We could have let the game get away from us, but we didn’t. We kept pushing and we believed in ourselves.
“I don’t think it was our finest performance, far from it, but to get the late goal and win the tie is all we wanted.
“When you play for Rangers you need to reach finals and play for silverware. We know that. It’s another cup final and hopefully we can win it for the fourth time in a row.
“We know City will be a tough game, but we’re really looking forward to it.”
