Rangers head into the match with 10 victories and a draw in the league at Ibrox this season, and Clement wants his team to continue that home form against the Jimmy Thelin’s side.
Sitting down to speak to the media at this afternoon’s pre-match press conference, he said: “ I hope for the support like it was against St Johnstone from a lot of people, and that we continue to rebuild that again to get the synergy back but like I said it is about performances and about doing the right things.
“We did it for a long spell against St Johnstone, not long enough for me, but there were positive things in the first hour. There was good football, good goals, things the fans wanted to see, good pressing and we didn't give away a lot. Those are things we need to continue doing.
“We know how many points we are behind, so I am focused on my team and to get results in the next game and to let players grow, become better. A lot of people see that Igamane has become better, Raskin, Yilmaz, Jefte, Diomande a lot of players but we need to create consistency in performance.
“It is my frustration also, to get 31 out of 33 points in the home games, to get really good European results home and away but in the league, we lost too many points in different games with individual errors.
“At the beginning of the season we had more difficulty scoring goals in away games, but a lot of times we kept a clean sheet. Now in this last period with injuries also we are scoring more goals in away games, but we are also conceding more. We need to find this balance and we need to get this squad ready and fit to do it every three days.”
With defensive injury problems of late, Clement welcomed captain James Tavernier and Leon Balogun back to training this week. He added: “We are going to look at how they are tomorrow and if they have a reaction or not, and if they are able to be in the selection.
“It is positive to get players back now. Of course, they haven't trained much or anything, but it is positive that they are back.”
Clement was asked about the challenges he faces as manager, and said he is motivated to bring success to the club. He continued: “The bigger the challenge, the hungrier I am in life. I am a winner, and I always have been.
"When I was young nobody believed I would become a professional football player and when I was a professional football player nobody believed that I would get into the national team, so it is about getting the best out of every second of the day.
“It is about being hungry every morning to get the best out of that day and to become better and to make people better around you, that is my ambition so that will never change.
“I am not busy with people believing in me or not, it is just about believing in this squad and working hard with this squad and with everybody in this club.
“There are so many people here determined to get this club back where it was, and they are motivated for that, and I want to help in that story.”
