Two goals inside the opening 20 minutes from Kieran Dowell and Todd Cantwell provided the exclamation points on a mightily impressive first half showing from the Gers, with a controlled second half display sending the Rangers travelling support home happy on Christmas Eve.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, the Rangers boss commented: "We played very well in the first half. The circumstances weren't good, but it was still possible to play.
"In the second half, the wind was coming from every side so it was really difficult to play our normal football. Our level on the ball went down, but we fought and didn't give away chances. We kept a clean sheet and scored two goals that were offside.
"It was a very good performance, not only from the players but also from the fans. It's a difficult situation with the weather and on this day, showing up with so many fans, so it was brilliant to hear them sing all game.
"It also gives a lot of energy to the players, so I hope the next two weeks that we continue with that and create a really good story."
The wind and rain continued to swirl around Fir Park in the second 45 minutes as Motherwell emerged with a point to prove, but Rangers stood tall and limited the hosts to very few clear-cut openings.
And Clement believes his side's resilience is testament to players willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of the team amid a spate of injuries.
He continued: "Motherwell really made it a fight. They had a week to prepare for the game so they had a lot of rest, and they gave everything.
"But we did good things on the ball in the first half, and we controlled the game in the second half.
"I would have preferred to have scored a third goal, and then a fourth, to kill the belief, but luck wasn't on our side with the offside situations.
"It's very pleasing to see, especially with five midfielders out injured and two guys playing a really good game where it isn't their normal position.
"We continue with the story that everyone is available for the team and works hard. And then they can see also that you get your rewards as a team and as an individual at the end of the road."
