Barry Ferguson will take charge of his first home fixture as he enters the dugout in a head coach role having enjoyed a vastly successful playing career with the Gers.
This weekend’s fixture will see the annual Armed Forces Day celebration at Ibrox as we honour those serving, and those who have proudly served, their country, with several activities pre and post-match.
The men’s first-team feature this week comes from Bailey Rice, as he reflects on the steps he’s taken in his football career in recent months which have included a European debut in Nice as well as appearing on the pitch at Old Trafford, where he is now hoping to learn under the influence of the former Gers captain in charge.
We will take a closer look at our visitors this Saturday with our opposition focus section, whilst club historian David Mason tells us the story of former player Alex Bodin, who served for four years of endurance in a German internment camp through the First World War.
Also included in this week’s edition, we take a look back at club legend Davie Cooper’s testimonial match against Bordeaux in August 1988, whilst women’s head coach Jo Potter looks ahead to an exciting month which includes a league fixture against Hearts on Sunday afternoon as well as a Scottish Cup quarter-final and Sky Sports Cup final.
