Player Of The Year Award Winners Announced

RYAN JACK has been named as Rangers’ Player of the Year for season 2019/20.

Jack, 28, was an outstanding performer last campaign, making 40 appearances and netting five goals along the way.

He was presented with his award at the Rangers Training Centre this week by manager, Steven Gerrard and sponsor Gary Brown of GGK Contracts.

Also among the award winners from last season was Joe Aribo, who claimed the Young Player of the Year prize.

It was a superb debut campaign for Aribo – he netted nine goals in 48 appearances, with one of those goals also winning him the Goal of the Season prize.

His strike on that unforgettable evening against Braga was incredible, and helped the Gers on their way to the Last 16 of the competition.

Winning the Sam English Bowl for top goalscorer, unsurprisingly, was Alfredo Morelos.

His 29 strikes were a massive part of the club’s season, most notably in Europe, where he netted six goals in the six Europa League Group Stage matches.

Claiming the Women’s Player of the Year prize is Clare Gemmell.

She was an outstanding performer for the Women’s first-team over the last year, and will be looking to kick-on with the side when their football resumes in the coming months.

This year’s Academy Player of the Year is Nathan Patterson.

The 18 year-old made his debut for the Light Blues in January’s Scottish Cup win over Stranraer, and was a key performer in the UEFA Youth League with his Academy teammates.
