The Light Blues are back in SWPL action this weekend as they take on Spartans as they now sit top of the table after their recent Old Firm victory.
Speaking to RangersTV in the build-up to their clash at Broadwood Stadium the head coach now wants her team to kick on after reaching the summit following the conclusion of the first round of fixtures.
She said: “That is the main thing for us is the consistency. Keep going forward, pushing performances, producing points on the board and playing a certain way. Learning our new way of playing and our new style and adapting to that.
“As well as not being predictable and bringing something different week in week out with the players that we have got. Having the squad back together is huge for us, most players are now back from injury and we have just got a couple now that are still on the sidelines waiting to come back in.
“We are looking really strong and just being able to grow week in week out and kick on for the rest of the season, we are really looking forward to it.
“We can't take our foot off the gas. We need to make sure that we are pushing forward and we keep pushing each other. I think that definitely helps with having a bigger squad now, having players fit and available and pushing each other.
“Knowing that we have really got two people for each position. We look at teams sometimes and we make a decision on selection. You look at the players on the bench and you can easily fit them into a starting 11.
“There would be no qualms with who players but we have just got to make sure that we are picking the right players for the right games and the players are continuing to train really well throughout the week to hopefully get their chance on a Sunday.”
The former Lioness looked back on when the team’s last met in her first league fixture in charge where the Gers ran out 6-1 winners at Ainslie Park and she wants her side to produce more of the same come this Sunday in Cumbernauld.
She continued: “It was strong for us, but they have also got better as the league has gone on as well. They have had some close calls in games as well, they have run teams close.
“No game is easy, as we have said. They can play a few different styles of play, different ways of playing with different formations.
“We'll see what they can pose against us but as always we'll look at what we can do to them. We'll be looking to continue our form and hopefully get three points.
Potter has reflected on her team overall after the completion of the first round of games and says the Gers will always be looking for ways to keep improving as they now to look to maintain their lead at the top heading into the upcoming matches.
She commented: “We knew it was always going to be a process and our way of playing was going to take time to adapt to. I think I have eluded to it previously that I have been really impressed with the squad and individuals. How well they have adapted and took on a new style and way of playing.
“I always thought it was going to take a little bit longer than what it did, there is always learning to do but the amount they have took on board and the attitude that they have shown to be willing, wanting to change and wanting to be better is the biggest thing for me.
“We just need to continue with that, we'll never settle. There will always be something that we can be better at. We always want to thrive to be the best and that starts within our camp.
“That is what we need to keep pushing for in this next round of games and hopefully continue the run that we are on.”
