The Light Blues claimed victory on their return to league action following the international break as they maintained their lead at the top of the SWPL table with a 3-1 win.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game the head coach commented: “It wasn't our best performance; I think we could see that.
"It was below our standards what we accept and expect from each other, but nonetheless sometimes when you have a performance like that the main thing is to come away with three points and that is what we did today.
The former Lioness was happy the Gers were able to make the most of set piece opportunities to break down their opponents with two of the three goals coming courtesy of corner kicks.
She continued: “This is another thing that we have got to add to our game. We have got to be able to score different types of goals and change the way we are playing.
"Sometimes when the opposition do a really good job of stopping us playing and playing a certain way we have got to try and make sure that we are going at the opposition and finding different ways to win a game. Just a couple of moments of quality today and set pieces were the difference.
“That is the difference sometimes those moments in the games can be the ones that do make the difference. It is when we are creating those opportunities and we are putting the ball in the back of the net which Brogan managed to do for us today so I am delighted for her.
Potter is happy the team were still able to find a different way to win and manage the game after a mistake let their opponents back in the match but she wants the team to now move on as they prepare for their Sky Sports Cup quarter-final against Boroughmuir Thistle next weekend.
She added: “These mistakes happen, things happen in football, we know that. Just sometimes when you are the one between the sticks it is a little bit more detrimental than maybe a striker.
"Jenna doesn't make these mistakes very often; she has made one today but fortunately enough we were still able to come away with the three points and hopefully bounce back next week.
“We know we need to up our levels. It doesn't really matter who we are playing against we need to make sure that we are holding ourselves to standards that we want to make and be able to produce performances that we are proud of and that we are happy with.
"We know we have got to up our levels just for our own standards so I am hoping to see that next week.”
