The head coach has been rewarded for her fantastic impact at the Light Blues by extending her stay until the summer of 2026.
Speaking to RangersTV after putting pen to paper on the deal, the former Lioness says there is a real excitement for the future and what the squad can potentially achieve this season.
She commented: “It has been a bit of a whirlwind. You don't really get much time to sit and reflect, we have had a good few international breaks where we can do that so it has been good to catch up with how it’s been at the club because we are in constant contact anyway.
“Since Donald has come in it has been extremely easy for me, we have got a really good way of working and a really forward thinking group of staff.
“It was just something that when it got put on the table it was just more of excitement for the future really and thinking about what we can still achieve.
“I love the city, the place and the people. You can definitely feel it when you come up here and you don’t really quite know the enormity of the club until you get in here and you can feel it.
“I think that is huge for me, coming into a big club, to be able to put my stamp on it and take it my own way and have the right people, players and staff alongside me to help achieve something hopefully.
“I think it was just a good mix really and it is a really good place to be able to live and put my future down.”
The boss has spoken of what she hopes the team can do as they head into the crucial last few months of the campaign, as they firstly look to book their place in the Scottish Cup semi-finals this weekend.
She added: “It is huge for us. I think we see the difference between dipping in and out of league and cup action.
“It keeps it fresh; it keeps us being able to keep our eye on a couple of different things along the way.
“You don’t get in autonomy of week in week out of just playing league game after league game. It is good for us to change our focus and have a good cup run.
“It is going to be difficult because obviously we played them on Sunday and it was a difficult and playing teams back to back is always tough.
“This is where we have got to do our work, we have got to make sure we really dig in this week and make a few tweaks.
“I think it is important for us that we really give this cup run another good go.
“It is massive for us when the pressure is on. We say this all the time we have got to be able to accept pressure.
“That is when characters step up, we have shown an enormous amount of character up until now. You see in games where we have gone behind, we have managed to come back and win these games. We have managed to stay in ties.
“I think they are the right players to bring it to life and they keep doing that week in week out for me.
“As long as we keep doing the right things day in day out they are going to continue that to the end of the season.
“It is big for us to make sure we maintain what we are doing, keep fighting and grinding away.
“Keep making sure that we are trying to achieve what is possible towards the end of the season.”
