After breaking the deadlock around the half-hour mark the Gers didn’t look back with a dominant display as they continued their fine form in a first fixture in the stadium since the final day of last season.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match the head coach was happy the team were able to put on a show for the fans that turned out as the Light Blues ran out rampant winners.
She said: “I think it was a comprehensive win, I was happy with it. It took us a little bit of time to break them down which we knew it was going to.
“It was never going to be an easy game from the start, but I was happy with how we performed and how we were patient at times. Kirsty was well deserved of her four goals so I was really pleased with them.
“We were creating opportunities before that; the Hibs defenders were bodies on the line and blocking shots in the box and making it really difficult for us.
“We only knew it was going to be a matter of time before we could break that deadlock, but we stuck with it and it was a good finish from Kirsty in the box to start the goal scoring off for us.
“That is what we wanted to do, it can always be a little bit nerve racking coming into a big stadium and feeling a little bit of pressure to put on a performance and score goals. Fair play to the players they definitely turned up today and gave the fans what they wanted.”
The boss was also happy with how little they limited their opponents to as the Gers racked up a third clean sheet in a row in the SWPL.
She continued: “That is something that we said at the start of the season. We needed to get a little bit better at, we have done some work on it, we don't ignore that fact, it is not easy to keep clean sheets.
“It is something that we do, we make sure we go to the defenders and the keepers for at the end of the game, without them we are not able to score those goal. We like to build and we like to play a certain way, they are just as important for us in possession as they are out of it too.”
Potter also praised her team for pushing for more goals until the very end with Kirsty Howat adding her fourth of the afternoon in stoppage time.
She added: “You just look through to the end, we are down to 10 players and we are still running forward and we are still wanting to score goals.
“The desire from Kirsty to start in a wide area then drift into the box and continue her run and get her fourth goal, she is not just happy with scoring a hat-trick, she wants to score as many goals as possible.
“It is what we want from our players, we want them to be competitive. We want them to create as many opportunities as possible and score as many goals as possible, it was really pleasing.”
