The Light Blues responded to falling behind at the start of second half through a Mia McAulay equaliser before ultimately sharing the spoils with their rivals in front of the Ibrox crowd.
Speaking to RangersTV after the contest the head coach commented: “I think we have got to be happy to take the point.
“You see at the end of the game there both teams could have won the game and take all three points.
“It is a massive save from Jenna towards the end of the game to keep us in it and then it is just unfortunate we couldn't put the ball in the back of the net at the other end.
“It is one of those games where you look at it but I thought we were the better team for the first half but as the game grew on we let them grow into the game with a sloppy start to the second half.
“Again it shows our character to come back and get back into that game and unluckily we could have nicked it at the end there.”
The former Lioness spoke of her sides start to the match as they created several early openings but praised the response from her team after their setback.
She continued: “I thought we were excellent at the start of the game.
“I asked us to start stronger, I asked us to be brave on the ball, be comfortable in possession, create chances because we know we are going to create chances and we did.
“On another day Jane puts those in the back of the net. Rio put those in the back of the net. There are chances there and we are creating them.
“We were a little bit disappointed not to go in 1-0 up, but you are still in the game at that moment but what we can’t do is start the second half that sloppy.
“We need to make sure that we are switched on from minute one, because you see against a good team they can punish you the other way.
“I am not surprised about our response. We have done it every single game we have played against them now.
“We like to give them a 1-0 lead, which is frustrating, but it seems to kick us into action.
“There are definitely things there that we need to work on and be on the front foot a little bit more.
“Taking the game to the opposition, because I thought we could have done that a little bit more in the game.
“The character is there to come back from 1-0 down and keep pushing. I thought we got some excellent performances out there; they covered every blade of grass out there.
“You couldn't ask for more from them, they were dead on their feet at the end.
“I think that shows we have had a tough couple of weeks, we are still four points clear so we definitely take that point.”
Potter gave a word on the support her players received on the day after playing in front of the Ibrox crowd for the second time this campaign.
She added: “You can see the difference that the crowd makes to us.
“When you are attacking and you are attacking in wave after wave the crowd are great.
“They just give you that extra little bit, even if it is a 10 per cent, one more little run into the channel.
“One more block, getting up to the ball. It is such a difference for us and I think the crowd have been excellent every time we have played here.
“They are just as excellent at home games and away games as well; our support is unrivalled really.”
