The Light Blues will make the trip north to take on Aberdeen this Sunday off the back of booking their place in the Sky Sports Cup final.
Speaking to RangersTV in the build-up to the match the former Lioness commented: “I think that is the definite switch that we needed this week. We knew that we are into a cup final, we have not won it yet and that was the overriding message from me when we came back in this week after a couple of days off.
“I think it was important that the message is there, we have not won anything. It was a great game and a really good performance; we were really happy with it.
“We go backwards and forwards and it think it just keeps us fresh. We know your bread and butters are the league and that is a massive priority for us.
“We are in good position as always and we put ourselves in that position, we don't want to take our foot off the gas.
“We want to make sure that we keep pushing and performing, keep striving to be the best in this league and keep our position at the top of that table. We will do all we can when we head up to Aberdeen on Sunday to come away with three points.”
The head coach highlighted what their Sunday opposition can bring to the game and says they must be wary of the threats they pose as the Gers target a positive end to the month.
She continued: “It will be difficult; I know Clint likes to play to play a certain way of football. I know they like to try play out from the back; they can play a few different formations. We know it is going to be difficult, it is not going to be an easy game.
“They have had a few good results as well along the way. As ever we know what they can pose, we have had a look at that, we have worked on it out on the pitch, but also we will just look at how we can perform on that day.
“How we can hurt them in certain areas that they may be vulnerable and they may be weak and I am happy with where that is heading.”
Potter spoke of the recent loan signing of Olivia McLoughlin for the first time and the quality she will add to the squad after making the temporary switch from Aston Villa last week.
She added: “Liv has got a lot of energy; she is a great player. She is a typical midfielder, she can do a bit of everything, she likes to close down, likes to chase, she likes to be tidy in possession and link play really well.
“Which is good for us and we can use her in different areas and different parts of the field and pitch that really suit us.
“I am excited to see her, she has had a good week's training now, we have managed to get her in for a week.
“I think she is just starting to get to grips with how we do things, how the other players play and how they can link in with her and their strengths. I think it is an exciting time for Liv, everybody will be happy to see her on the pitch.”
