Head Coach Gregory Vignal is expecting a tough test but believes his side are continuing to improve each week.
He said: “I think it will be a massive game and I am looking forward to it because it is a semi-final so if we beat City it means we will reach the final but I am expecting a big big game.
“I think mentally we are stronger, physically we are stronger and technically we work really hard in terms of shape so I think that’s much better but we need time and hopefully the next few months will be even better.
Rangers booked their place in the semi-final with wins over Glasgow Girls, Forfar Farmington and Aberdeen to set up the Glasgow City tie.
Defender Emma Brownlie, who has previously lifted the trophy with Hibs, is looking forward to Sunday’s game.
She said: “I think everyone loves a cup game and it is good to get into a semi-final.
“I think looking at where Rangers have come to even in the short space of time that Gregory has been in getting to the semi-final is massive and if we can make that step to the final that would be even bigger for us.
“I think I can bring an element of experience to the squad, we have obviously added in terms of the two French girls that have come in that have added quality to the squad but having played in Scotland for a number of years and won the cups I think it helps bringing that experience to the team.”
“I think you just need that winning mentality, I think when you look at the likes of Glasgow City for example winning the league over the last 13 years I think you don’t play well every single week but you need that mentality to go to that final whistle to win games.
Rangers will take on Glasgow City at Forthbank Stadium on Sunday with a 12 noon kick-off. Admission is Adults £5, Concessions £2 and Under-12’s are free.
