Having joined Gers just three weeks before lockdown the left-back has had limited training time with her new teammates.
Despite that, the 23-year-old says the close-knit squad have made it easy to settle in at the club.
Speaking to RangersTV, she said: “It has been great to be back in with the girls, it has been a long time so everyone was so excited to come back and get going.
“That really showed with the week we have had in training, I think the intensity was really good and it has been nice being back in as a team so hopefully we can carry that on.
“My legs are definitely feeling it at the moment but it is just about getting used to it again and all the girls have done really well throughout lockdown to keep themselves fit.
“That's down to each person individually to go and do that so I think we have come in looking fit and ready to go.
“It feels like I have been in for a while but looking back I have only had about three weeks before the lockdown so it has been a bit crazy.
“I think coming in and being with such a friendly group definitely helps you settle into the games and feel more relaxed.
“The girls will tell you how they like to play on the pitch as well which is obviously a big aspect of it and that really helped going into the two games before the winter break.”
With the SWPL season set to resume on April 4, Rangers will restart the campaign with a trip away to Hearts.
McLauchlan continued: “I think we were all waiting for that moment even though we were back in training the league date was just to be confirmed so it is really exciting knowing that we have got that game coming up against Hearts and hopefully a few friendlies.
“I am really excited, obviously starting this week knowing that we have got a friendly at the weekend is a different kind of feeling.
“Everyone wants to be playing football and to not have a match in so long it is really exciting to have that to look forward to.”
