The defender made her first start of 2024 in the Scottish Cup semi-final win last weekend before 90 minutes were to follow in midweek as she continues to work her way towards full fitness.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the Old Firm derby clash tomorrow lunchtime in Cumbernauld, The 26-year-old feels she is making steps in her sharpness and hopes to play a full part in the run-in.
She said: “I think I am starting to get there.
“I have still got a wee bit just to get the feet and mind working together a bit more.
“I am loving being back on the pitch so no matter what I am just happy to be back playing.
“It was quite a while [out]. Obviously it is tough watching on from the sidelines it is always is, no one wants to be there.
“I am just really happy to be back on the pitch, it has been a good few games to come back for so I am really enjoying it.
“I just want to play my part to the end of the season and help with what I can.
“I think it is an exciting time, we need to play with that excitement.
“We need just to go and take each game as it is coming at the moment.
“They are coming thick and fast so we just need to focus on each one as they come and hopefully we can end it successfully.”
The full-back feels the team can take confidence from the recent win over their rivals, as she acknowledged the importance of the final derby this campaign.
She continued: “We can take the confidence from winning recently but at the same time it is a completely different game.
“Celtic are a very tough team and we know that going into it.
“We know we will have to get ourselves geared up and be fresh over the next couple of days and really go back right into it.
“Look at Celtic and what we can improve on from the last game as well going into that Monday game positively.
“We know it is an important game, it is going to be a tough game.
“I think there is always an excitement within the Old Firm and everyone is ready to go.
“We obviously had to get through the Hearts game and we have.
“All eyes will be on that game on Monday but it is a really exciting time.
McLauchlan knows everyone has a part to play in the coming weeks as the Gers target further silverware in the final matches that remain.
She added: “Everyone has got such importance and I think we know that.
“We have got such a strong team. Anyone coming off the bench right now is going to add such a value on the pitch.
“We are going to need everyone, there is loads of games in such a short time so we need everyone to be ready and that they will be.”
