RANGERS Academy are once again delighted to compete in the prestigious SuperCupNI, which kicks off today.
The youth tournament, which marks its 41st edition this year, will welcome teams from across the world as fans in Northern Ireland can enjoy a feast of football action.
Manchester United, Brighton and Hove Albion, West Ham United and Aston Villa, among others, will all be in attendance, with graduates of the tournament in recent years including Sergio Busquets, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Rashford and Mohammed Kudus.
Rangers will have an Under-17s competing in the ‘Premier’ section of the competition, while an Under-15s side will pit their wits in the ‘Junior’ section of the tournament.
Group matches will take place between Monday and Wednesday, with the ‘Premier’ section containing 20 teams and its ‘Junior’ equivalent being made up of 16 sides.
The Under-17s have been drawn in Group E alongside Hamilton Academical, Otago and Tyrone, while the Under-15s will compete against FC America, Fermanagh and St. Patrick’s in Group A.
The winners of each group will advance to the semi-finals of the SuperCupNI, with second place entering the SCNI Globe, third place heading into the SCNI Vase, and fourth place dropping into SCNI Bowl.
