The two-day tournament has not been played since 2019 following the outbreak of Covid-19, with the Light Blues having lost out to Newcastle United in the final of the previous two editions.
The group stage of the 16-team event will commence on Saturday, with the young Gers having been drawn into Group A alongside Aston Villa Under-21s, Tai Po FC and Yau Yee League Select.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals of the Main Cup competition, while the third and fourth placed teams will drop into the quarter-finals of the Main Plate knockout competition.
The losing quarter-finalists from the Main Cup competition will then contest the Main Shield knockout competition, of which a semi-final and final will be played.
All group stage matches will take place on Saturday, with the knockout phase of the Main Cup, Main Shield and Main Plate competitions being played on Sunday.
Each game has two seven-minute halves with a one-minute half-time break, while the final is ten minutes each half.
Rangers are one of six British sides that will be competing in the competition, alongside Villa, Queens Park Rangers, Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham, Leicester City and Newcastle United.
Live streaming will be available on the HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens YouTube channel and cluch.tv/football/. You can also follow the Light Blues’ journey across our B Team and Academy Twitter account @RFC_Youth.
