Rangers Charity Foundation Matchday Takeover Day - This Saturday!

AT this weekend's match against Aberdeen FC, we are showcasing the incredible work of our official charity, the Rangers Charity Foundation!

The Foundation's mission is to be a force for good on behalf of the Rangers Family, showing compassion to those in need, tackling inequalities and creating opportunities for people of all ages to change their lives for the better.

The charity supports people with their education, employment and health and wellbeing and provides inclusive access to football for all, as well as making dreams come true for those most in need of a boost.

It offers a wide range of community activities at no cost to thousands of people each year, and you can get a special insight today into that work by watching out for the 'Starting 11' video about the impact the Foundation has had on people's lives, which will be shown on the screens at half-time, as well as in the Fan Zone pre-match.

The 11 amazing participants featured in the video, representing 11 of the Foundation's programmes, range in age from 7 to 79 and will also be introduced onto the pitch at half-time.

What is happening at Ibrox on Saturday?

Pre-match, the Foundation will have an information stand in the Fan Zone where friendly staff will be on hand to talk to fans about the work of the Foundation and explain more about its community programmes and fundraising activities.

You can get involved by signing up for the charity's summer Bears Up Ben Lomond challenge in the company of Michael Mols, Kevin Thomson and Marvin Andrews, coming to the Charity Race Night or organising your own challenge.

Carers Trust Scotland, the Foundation's National Charity Partner this season, will also have an information stand within the Fan Zone, where you can find out more about the support available for unpaid carers.

Carers Trust Scotland aims to transform the lives of unpaid carers, working to ensure they have access to the support, advice and resources they need to live fulfilled lives. The charity wants to ensure carers feel heard and valued and has 26 local Carer Centres across Scotland, reaching 66,000 carers annually.

The Foundation has pledged to raise £20,000 for Carers Trust Scotland. £15,000 will pay for 15 scholarships at the Education Academy, providing young carers with some extra help and support to offset the school time they miss owing to their caring responsibilities. £5,000 will pay for a Sports Zone at the 2026 Young Carers Festival.

Becky Duff, Director of Carers Trust Scotland, will take part in a pre-match interview with Ali De Foy in the Fan Zone, alongside the Rangers Charity Foundation's Chief Executive, Connal Cochrane.

Look out too for Foundation merchandise stalls around the Stadium, giving you the chance to purchase a gift while supporting the charity's work.

Branded badges, hats, keyrings and socks will all be available or browse the online shop at www.rangerscharity.org.uk

Over at the Ibrox Community Complex, opposite the Main Stand on Edmiston Drive, you can drop in before the match for free activities such as 'Beat the Goalie' or small-sided games for kids from 3.30pm. There will be free tea, coffee and biscuits and a chance to speak to the Foundation's coaches about its free community activities.

There will also be a can collection around the Stadium for the Foundation, raising vital funds to help the charity continue its work on behalf of the Rangers Family. You can also make a donation here: Rangers Charity Foundation Donation Link

The first-team today will show their support for the Foundation and its work by wearing shirts with a special Foundation logo on the front for the game.
