Eilidh Martin, Hannah Cunningham, Carla Todd, Abbie McKay, Hannah Jordan, Abby Boylan, Leah Daly, Hannah Robinson, Jasmine McPhie, Elli Reid, Ellie Vernal and Rosie Slater are all moving on, with Rangers providing extensive support to all players leaving the Academy programme.
Women’s and Girls’ Assistant Coach and Academy Manager, Kevin Murphy, commented: “It is always hard to say goodbye to players who have represented the club so well for a number of years. Most of these girls have been part of our Academy for anything around five to nine years and have done so to the highest of standards.
“They have achieved success along the way, but the key thing is that they have had a positive experience with us which will equip them well for their next journey in football. Many of them have already sampled senior football with a number of them going out on loan and have risen to that challenge.
“I have no doubt that all of these young players will go on and have a great future in football and it is an exciting next step for them as they embark into their next chapter in life. Many are going on to university and college or to work full time but such is their love of football they want to combine both which I know they will manage well.
“The club have already been proactive in helping the players find their next destination and many have already trained with clubs to help that transition further. The club will continue to offer support to all these players should they require it.
“I want to place my thanks to all players and to their parents and carers. The dedication and commitment over all these years does not go unnoticed nor unappreciated.
“I cannot thank them all enough for what they have put in over the years and I am sure that will stand them all in good stead for their next step in football”.
