Rangers International Soccer Academy Announce New Partnership With Crusaders FC

RANGERS International Soccer Academy can today announce a new, three-year partnership with Crusaders FC in Gold Coast City, Australia.

The programme will see coaches from the Light Blues travel to the Gold Coast to deliver sessions to the Crusaders players, while players from Crusaders will visit Glasgow and Scotland to experience football and culture here.

It’s the latest in a long series of partnerships created by the club as they look to use their superb Soccer Academy reputation to expand in new markets around the globe.

Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations commented: “The agreement with Crusaders FC is another fantastic step forward to increasing our footprint in Australia. This takes us to three clubs signed up to long term agreements in that region within a few months with other positive discussions taking place.

“We are excited to get the partnership started, which also has a host of commercial benefits to Rangers. We look forward to supporting Glynn and his coaching staff through the Rangers Online Academy where they will gain access to cutting-edge footage of our academy coaches and players.

“When it’s safe to do so we will send Soccer Academy staff over to work with Crusaders FC players and staff on camp and coach education events, but also welcome teams across to Glasgow each year of the partnership which I am sure will be a first-class experience.”

Glynn Boyd, Academy Director at Crusaders added: "We have always been about opening doors for our players and coaches to have a chance to achieve their dreams and this three-year agreement with Rangers International Soccer Academy will create great opportunities and experiences for them over the long term”

“The support from the Rangers staff to date has been first class and we are really looking forward to implementing the Rangers Online Academy, which will be a vital resource for our coaching staff to utilise and learn from elite coaches and players.

“We are excited to welcome the Rangers coaching staff over to Gold Coast, Australia, for camp events and bring our teams over to Glasgow on-tour which will be an incredible experience”
