Based at Al Forsan, the academy will see Rangers branch out to the United Arab Emirates offering high quality training and coaching.
Supported directly by Rangers Football Club in partnership with CBF, sessions will be open to boys and girls, with the academy also looking to promote the female game in the region.
Coaches from Rangers Soccer Academy will be based in Abu Dhabi to deliver the sessions, while there will also be opportunities for young players to come to Scotland to visit Ibrox and Rangers Academy.
This is just the latest step for Rangers as the club’s innovative international strategy continues to expand into the Middle East, with the Light Blues already having partner clubs in Germany, the United States and India, as well as Soccer Academy collaborations with clubs across the globe.
Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations, commented: “For the first time, Rangers Football Club will expand their global reach into the UAE with the launch of the Rangers Soccer Academy in Abu Dhabi.
