Six Gers players are on the shortlist for Men’s Player of the Year, Men’s Young Player of the Year, Women’s Player of the Year and Young Player of The Year, with the club the most represented in the top-flight.
Captain James Tavernier and goalkeeper Jack Butland, who won the club’s official Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year are in the running to pick up the senior award.
Northern Irish winger Ross McCausland, who picked up the club’s Young Player of the Year award at the club’s ceremony, is being put forward for the league’s Young Player of the Year award.
For the women’s side midfielder Kirsty Maclean who won Players’ Player at the club awards last night, is up for both Women’s Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year.
She will go up against fellow Gers playmaker Rachel Rowe has also been nominated for the Women’s Player of the Year with Women’s Club Player of the Year Mia McAulay also up for the Young player award.
In the other nominations Rabbi Matondo is up for claiming the goal of the season award for his stunning strike against rivals Celtic, after winning the award for his club last night as well as James Tavernier’s superb effort against St Mirren also up for consideration.
