Rangers Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Jamaica international Chantelle Swaby.

The 22-year-old centre-half will join up with Malky Thomson’s side for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

Born in the USA, Chantelle represented Jamaica at the 2019 FIFA World Cup in France starting all three games for her country.

Chantelle most recently played her football with Sky Blue in the Women’s National Soccer League in America.

Womens’ and Girls’ Football Manager Amy McDonald said: “We are delighted to have secured the signing of Chantelle. She is another exciting player who, although just 22, already has valuable experience in the game.

“The signing continues to show Rangers’ commitment to the women’s programme as we recruit from home and abroad to further strengthen our squad.”

Malky Thomson added: “We are really excited to have Chantelle join up with the squad. She is an enthusiastic and hard-working young player who brings fantastic experience from the 2019 World Cup.

“She will be a valuable addition to our squad as we look to continue on our strong start to the SWPL season.”
