Rangers Sign Michelle Colson From Anderlecht

RANGERS Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Michelle Colson from Anderlecht, subject to international clearance.

The defender becomes the first signing of the summer as the squad get set to return for pre-season training with new head coach Jo Potter.

The 24-year-old joined Anderlecht back in 2019 from fellow Belgian side Oud-Hever Leuven, where she was part of the team that gained promotion to the First National league.

Colson has been part of the Anderlecht side that has won the league title in the last three campaigns, picking up the trophy in all of her seasons at the club.

The centre-back has also been capped by her country on two occasions, making her Belgium debut against South Korea back in February.

On signing for Rangers, Colson said: “It is exciting, it is a nice training ground and I also think it is a nice team, so I am very excited. It looks great and it is a very professional place to live and to become a better football player, I am happy to be here and excited to see what the future will bring.”

Women’s and Girl’s Football Manager, Amy McDonald, also commented: “We are delighted to welcome a player of Michelle’s calibre to the club, she brings real quality and leadership to the side.

“Michelle has fantastic experience from her time in Belgium and she will be a fantastic addition to our squad.”
