RANGERS Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Victoria Esson from SC Sand.
The goalkeeper joins from the Bundesliga side with vast experience having also played in New Zealand, the USA and Norway.
The 31-year-old, who has represented New Zealand at international level, started her career in her home country with Coastal Spirit FC and North Shore United.
She then moved to the States playing for Texas Tech before returning to New Zealand as she captained Mainland Pride to the National Women’s League in 2014.
Esson has also played for Avaldsnes in Norway's top division before her most recent spell at SC Sand.
The stopper was part of New Zealand’s World Cup squad in France in 2019.

On signing for Rangers, Esson said: “I am so excited to be here, it has been a couple of days now and everyone has been really welcoming.
Head coach Malky Thomson added: “We are delighted to welcome Victoria to the club as we continue to strengthen the squad ahead of an exciting season.
“She is an experienced player who will further drive the competition within our squad which will be important as we look to build on last season’s success.”
