Rangers Soccer Academy Announce Seaford Rangers Partnership

RANGERS International Soccer Academy are delighted to announce a new three-year agreement with Seaford Rangers.

The Australian side are a community based football club in the southern suburb of Port Noarlunga South in Adelaide, South Australia, and will work closely with Rangers Soccer Academy staff and coaches with a camp taking place in October 2023 and the club planning a tour to Scotland in 2024.

Founded in 1974, Seaford Rangers are a community club which offer a safe and inclusive environment for kids and adults alike to train and play football.

Their youngest participants are boys and girls aged five to 11 who play Mini Roos, followed by their Juniors U12 to U17 and Girls U12 to U17. From age 17, some players move onto senior football in the country, whilst others decide to play amateurs in a more social league.

The club fall under the banner of Football South Australia, and Football Australia. As a club they look to their juniors to develop a strong cohort of young talent who will move into their seniors teams, U18s to reserves and then the first team who play in State League 2.

Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations, commented: “I am delighted we have been able to finalise this exciting new partnership with Seaford Rangers in Australia and I am looking forward to the relationship growing with the club moving forward.

“Following our recent trip across the globe we were delighted to reignite further talks with the club and I am really excited by the agreement and for the future which will see us conduct more events in that region, as well as welcoming players travelling from Australia to Scotland in 2024 for training camps and tours.”

“We are energised and excited by the opportunities this partnership offers not only our youth players, but all children in South Australia by bringing the skills and expertise of UEFA coaches and a top football club to our door step.

“As well as benefiting our younger members, this is a great partnership for our coaches in terms of the coaching experience, sports philosophy and expertise we will have at our disposal to help give our coaches the tools to successfully coach our children each season.

“We are extremely excited about this new venture and having the support of such a well-respected institution behind us.”

The partnership is the latest in a long series created by the club after the most recent announcement with Sichuan Rangers in China as they look use their superb International Soccer Academy reputation to expand in new markets with the department now working across 12 different countries.
