This unique programme allows students and student athletes to access university provisions at Ibrox Stadium and via UCS Lecturers, whilst also utilising the club’s other practical facilities to supplement the academic delivery, such as the Rangers Training Centre.
As part of the programme, all students also receive direct work placements within Rangers Football Club, alongside regular industry masterclasses led by members of staff across departments such as Commercial, Marketing, Scouting, Medical, Sports Science and Coaching.
Part of the Oxford Virtual Education Group, which has been long established in England for well over a decade, UCS has been providing the same higher education pathway at clubs across the English football pyramid for five years with over 250 students to date.
Although Scottish students are already accessing these exciting opportunities with UCS at English campuses, this partnership with Rangers Football Club represented the very first UCS campus in Scotland when it was launched in 2021, allowing more than 40 students to date to achieve a BSc (Hons) Sport & Fitness degree alongside direct industry experience and insight.
