This marks the first league championship win for any squad in the Soccer Academy’s three-year history.
Indeed, the side embarked on a memorable season in which they won every game, culminating in a victory over Regional to clinch the title with several games to spare.
Lead Coach, David Hill, commented: “I am incredibly proud of this team. They have been a pleasure to work with, both on the training pitch and in games, and this is a massive achievement for the full Academy.
“The Under-14 team have had a few close calls in recent seasons, but to become the first Rangers Soccer Academy team in Abu Dhabi is a very proud moment for everyone involved.
“This is hopefully the beginning of having competitive squads at every age group, while myself and Mark [Soutar] have been working very hard behind the scenes to lay the groundwork to have success on the pitch.
“A notable mention to our Under-14 red team who finished in a close second-place to Juventus in Division 3.
“We are very excited to see what these teams can continue to achieve moving forward into term 3, as well as the transition from nine-a-side to 11-a-side come September.”
