The match, arranged in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council and Its Just Football, will be played at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai kicking off at 3pm (GST),11am (GMT).
The match will be the Club’s first encounter versus Lokomotiv Tashkent who, in addition to being three times consecutive domestic champions and holders of the Uzbekistan Super Cup, are regular participants in the AFC Champions League.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard said: “We are looking forward to the game against Lokomotiv Tashkent at the end of our warm-weather training camp in Dubai.
Lokomotiv Tashkent are based in the country’s capital Tashkent and boast a squad of 11 full internationals. Uzbekistan itself is one of central Asia’s largest states with a population of over 32 million people.

The Sevens Stadium is Dubai’s world-class sports and entertainment venue with a capacity for 50,000 supporters having previously hosted fixtures between Real Madrid & AC Milan and the concerts of One Direction & Justin Bieber.
The Light Blues first-team will travel to Dubai with Emirates Airline and be based at the world-renowned Nad al Sheba Sports Complex from 6 to 12 January.
The NAS Sports Complex is an elite training environment, which has previously welcomed the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus and AC Milan.
On the day before the game (10th January), there will be a Rangers FC Brunch event, featuring Steven Gerrard, Gary McAllister and a selection of the first team.
This event will be a unique opportunity to hear from the management and players, whilst enjoying five-star hospitality within the Amazing Suite at the V Hotel in Dubai.
