Rangers can confirm that our forthcoming SWPL fixture against Heart of Midlothian Women, originally scheduled for the evening of Friday 24 April at Ibrox, will now be played at Broadwood Stadium with a 4.30pm kick-off.
We know this will be disappointing for many supporters. A Friday night match at Ibrox is something we value, and we recognise that this change, particularly the earlier kick-off time, will make it more difficult for some to attend.
The fixture was originally scheduled ahead of confirmation of the SPFL post-split calendar. The publication of those fixtures has since created a more condensed run of matches at Ibrox than anticipated, requiring careful management of the pitch and preparation between games in the final weeks of the season.
Having reviewed the options available, we have taken the decision to move this fixture to ensure the match can be played in the right conditions while managing that schedule responsibly.
We did explore alternatives, including retaining a later kick-off, but due to existing bookings at Broadwood this was not possible.
This remains a significant match for Rangers Women at a crucial stage of the SWPL season, and the players and staff will value the support of those able to attend.
We thank Heart of Midlothian Women, the SWPL and our supporters for their understanding, and we hope as many fans as possible can join us at Broadwood.
Further ticketing details will follow in due course.
