RANGERS are delighted to announce we will host Chelsea in a friendly match ahead of the 2021/22 Scottish Women’s Premier League season.
The current FA Women’s Super League Champions will visit Rangers Training Centre on Thursday, August 12.
Emma Hayes' side completed a League and Cup double last season and reached the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Among their ranks is Erin Cuthbert, a product of the Rangers Girls’ Academy who continues to speak warmly of her time with the club to this day.
Women’s and Girls’ Football Manager Amy McDonald said: “This will be a superb match for our team, and a fantastic challenge for them as they prepare for the start of the new league season.
“To be able to attract a team of the quality of Chelsea shows the respect we are gaining with what we are trying to build here, and particularly for our younger players, this will be an excellent learning experience.”
